Speech: Unlocking NB-IoT solutions on Brage oil platform in the North Sea Today
Oil and gas companies are tasked with improving the efficiency of their operations while reducing their environmental footprints, providing safe working environments and finding support structures for new developments. The deployment of IoT solutions, which incorporate advanced cloud-based data analytics and predictive reasoning, enables companies to harness, analyze, and act on large data sets from their physical assets. Morten Jensen, Global Digital Innovation Projects Manager at Schlumberger

Morten has worked with software development for Schlumberger in Norway and internationally for more than two decades. In the early years, he rolled out agile software development practices for the company and managed multi-discipline projects with global coordination. He managed the software development centers in Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen dedicated to the development of industry leading technologies such Petrel* subsurface modeling platform and the Ocean* open software development framework. He established and led the Software Technology Innovation Center (STIC) in Silicon Valley, California, dedicated to the digital transformation of Schlumberger products and services, before returning to Norway in 2017.
