KEYNOTE: "Get the ROT out of your data!" and "How Big Data contributes to the improvement of everything!" Rolf will keynote twice in two tracks.
KEYNOTE 1: "Get the ROT out of your data!"
The age of networking, collaboration and social media is upon us. And it has impacted our data, whether we know it or not. The ease of electronic communications and attaching data, in any format to any message, has helped our communication. At the same time, cheap(er) storage has resulted in the storing of all this data – in email systems, file servers, documents, SharePoint, Slack and just about anywhere else you can store data. The result: Lots of Redundant, Obsolete and Trivial data (ROT), that takes up a third or more of your storage capacity. With GDPR looming ahead of us, it is time to get rid of the ROT, and take control of your data.
KEYNOTE 2: "How Big Data contributes to the improvement of everything!"
Big Data Analytics is not just a standalone solution that is used by data scientists and other bright minds. All types of applications built with embedded Big Data functionality will be far more effective, and even intelligent. Moving from the analytics 2.0 and big data, into the analytics 3.0 era of operational analytics unleashes the power of data. In this presentation, we will look at some examples of customers using solutions that act on integrated Big Data analytics.
Rolf Frydenberg has been in the IT industry since 1980, and has spent most of this time working with software - from development to implementation, marketing and sales. Rolf also has many years’ experience in IT related management positions. Today Rolf is the CEO of Manag-E Norge AS, a company that works with solutions that make IT departments and IT users more efficient.

MARTIN KERMIT - ACANDO
Martin Kermit, Senior Data scientist, Acando to OBDD 2017
KEYNOTE: "Face recognition available for all"
The problem of detecting and recognizing a human face was addressed already at the early days of computer vision. Even though other identification methods like fingerprints and iris scans are far more accurate, face recognition has for long remained a major focus for research, perhaps because it is the primary method for people to identify a person in everyday life.
From the first unsuccessful attempts some 50 years ago, to the situation today, face detection methods have matured to a point where reliable technology with proven applications have existed for some time already. Thus, digital face detection is more available than ever, through surveillance systems as well as mainstream software and mobile applications.
In this talk, we will look at some of the techniques used to detect faces, and demonstrate practical examples on how commercial APIs can be integrated with your application as well as using open source software libraries to program your own face detector and train a classifier to recognize familiar faces.
Martin has earned a Ph.D. in Informatics, Data analysis from Universitetet i Oslo (UiO). With education and professional experience from several technical and scientific disciplines within industry and academic research, His has expertise within data analysis and algorithmic development, and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary environment.
As a team leader, he has solid experience as a project leader, and well acquainted to work in the cross section between research, product development and customer needs.

David Holm - CloudXtract
DAVID HOLM, MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT & CO-FOUNDER @ CLOUDXTRACT READY FOR OBDD 2017
KEYNOTE: "Digital transformation is key to driving business growth for companies of all sizes on the 3rd Platform"
Digital transformation has impacted nearly every person and business on Earth in some way. For small and midsize companies, digital transformation has brought unimaginable opportunity to expand, and turn the tables on much larger competitors. When everything is digitized and tracked, businesses can work directly with suppliers and customers while gaining more control over their business.
The fuel energising this digital transformation is big data. According to a recent Accenture study on big data, approximately two-thirds of companies worldwide have completed big data implementations so far. Digital technologies offer businesses of all sizes a new set of opportunities to create value. Opportunities arise as analytics, mobile, cloud and social media change how organisations, consumers and employees interact with each other. Businesses and governments can, for instance, create new customer experiences, improve citizen services and deliver better patient outcomes, in addition to reducing costs and increasing productivity of their staff.
Cloud computing is making massive computing power available to everyone. That means access to data is finally being democratized within organizations: virtually anyone in a business today can get the insight they need to make data-d...riven decisions at any time and in any place by moving data to the cloud. The flexibility of the cloud makes it a good fit for data analytics. Since the process involves analyzing huge volumes of unstructured data to detect patterns and gain insights for improving strategies, businesses using the cloud can scale their usage on demand, making it affordable even for SME's.
David is M.Sc in Marketing Management and has been working in the IT industry for over 25 year's with tech Start-Up's & MNC's. Since 2010 he has been doing Management Consulting and is now working with Inventum and co-founded Inventum Analytics with the SME Big Data Analytics tool "CloudXtract".
