“Big Data Values: A multi-value framework for understanding Big Data Strategies” Big Data has many qualities (like security, privacy), costs (cost to acquire, to maintain, to protect), and other values (public confidence and trust). We should ideally define the most critical Big Data Values for us, and quantify them all so that we can reason logically about Big Data decisions, and choose high value strategies. Of course the easy alternative is to not be so systematic and to learn the hard way.
